Juventus’ final Serie A fixture against Napoli is the last of the season, but the home side have plenty of game time to prepare for the match.
This Saturday sees the last leg of the Champions League semi-final, with the teams set to meet for a place in the final on January 6.
“The teams are scheduled to meet in the next week or two,” Juventus sporting director Walter Sabatini told Corriere dello Sport.
That means Napoli will have a long weekend to prepare and prepare for their game with Juventus.
The home side will be without captain Giorgio Chiellini, who is sidelined with a knee injury, while there will be no new additions to the Juventus squad, with both Alvaro Morata and Daniele De Rossi both missing from the squad.
However, the Giallorossi are not completely without firepower.
Napoli’s first XI has already included Alessandro Florenzi, Leonardo Bonucci, Luca Mancini, Giorgio Chielli, Gianluca Spalletti and Andrea Barzagli.
They also include Juventus star Andrea Baranova, who will be taking part in the warm-up against his former club.
It is understood that both the Nerazzurri and Napoli players are likely to be absent from training on Saturday.
With the match taking place on the eve of the World Cup in Brazil, the Bianconeri will be eager to get their first win of the campaign against the defending champions.
Juventus will be aiming to go on to reach the semi-finals for the first time since their return to Serie A in 2007.
